Pimple on dog eyelid and nose

I've had this since March. The left side is a dark red, and the right side is still a light pink. They both look like puss. Does it get better, or do they just get ugly and stay that way?

I just looked at one, and it does look like a pimple. Can't see any pus or drnage. Both sides are like this, though I got hit on the right side as I was leaving work. I think I bruised it when I got hit, but they don't look that bad. I just hope that it's not infected. They have been like this for a few days. Do they tend to get worse as the day goes on?

I'm really hoping they do just get better! I'm a bit worried because my mom had cancer, and she got them on her cheek and it got really bad and went all the way to her jaw. She couldn't eat for 2 weeks.

The pimples are not pus-filled. If you have them right now you can see them very well as there is no "puss" around them. If you have them they should be on the lid of the eye and on the side of the nose. You can have one or both of them on the left side or right. The left side will be darker red than the right. The red is the result of blood circulation (the blood is carrying the inflammation from the infection). If you have one of them on your right side you should try to cover your face with a towel (your hands should be clean, though). If the pimple gets worse than it is today and looks worse, but not drned, you should cover it with a washcloth and apply some pressure (with your elbow) and warm. The cloth should be cold (you can hold the cloth in your hands while you put it on). Take care and stay away from the eye.

Thank you so much for answering, that is exactly what it looked like to me! I have a lot of questions though...

1. Is the blood inside of the pimple, when I see it?2. What causes an acne infection to happen, in general?3. What causes it to get worse?4. How long should it last?5. Do you think they can get worse?

If your eye is infected then you should rinse it with clean water with the eyes closed. Do not take any pn meds. It is not necessary. The eye will go back to normal as soon as you are done. I know the last thing you want to do is have more pn.

Thanks agn! They hurt... I can't believe I got them because I was just playing lacrosse and I've never been one to get pimples. I was just talking with a friend and she has some really really bad acne right now. So I guess they could get worse.

Thanks so much, I do remember you, now I am going to check that thread. I tried to post that earlier, but I wasn't logged in when I did it. But anyway... I just went to the Eye Clinic at the mall. They gave me some really strong eye drops, I am still pretty sure it is my eyes, because they are sensitive to wind or something. I don't know if they just covered it up or what, I just know that it hurts. They sd they will call me in a couple of hours to see how they did. I think my eyes are fine though...

So yes, I know that in some way it is still contagious. I asked them and they sd it was the same way it started (with just a red dot). I just got over a bout of shingles and was wondering why I got them.

Anyway, I don't know what else to say. Sorry I haven't replied sooner, school was on my mind. So they didn't know what else to do so they sd to come in. I don't have anything new to tell though, nothing I didn't say.

So I guess I will see what they have to say. It just has been a weird week. One thing though, after I woke up that afternoon, I could still feel it. I'm sure it is because I had it the previous day.

I would say that maybe all of this will go away if you get a few hours of sleep and can get back on schedule. If you're still feeling bad the next day, perhaps you need to consider getting an appointment to see your doctor. The doc can get you some antibiotics, and you can rule out whatever it was if it's not still present after a couple of days.

What are your symptoms? Any particular times of the day that it occurs?

Thanks, I think that is what I am going to do. It is just weird. I have had shingles before so I think I know what it is and it is something my doc can take care of. I am starting to feel like I should just stop thinking of it as bad though. Maybe it is just something that happens. I remember reading that herpes can cause shingles and I have always heard that shingles were pnful...I guess I just thought it would be more than just a little irritation.

I really do feel better. It is just that I have had shingles in the past and I really remember them hurting a lot. I have never had them in my forehead and I have never had my first and second symptoms this close to each other (3 days). I am sure it is because it is so close to being healed but still I am just really nervous. That is not the first thing that crosses my mind when I think of shingles but it is the first thing that crosses my mind when I think of shingles right now.

Thanks for your Reply!
